A poem uses imaginative language to express feelings and ideas. There are many types of poetry, and not all of them rhyme.

Remember to look at any pictures, charts, graphs and other features too. Take in all the information you're given to learn as much as you can.

A dictionary is a list of words or phrases and their meanings (definitions) arranged in alphabetical order.

Non Fiction - how to find information 

People read for different reasons. Some people read for enjoyment, others read to find information.

If you want to find a piece of information in a non fiction text, you could read the whole piece of writing. Or, you could skim and scan the writing to find the key words and phrases relating to what you want to know.
