I would say think of what you would say in your head before you actually say it. It's very simple, but it's very powerful.
I would also suggest using a loud voice, don't whisper and walk extra slowly.

I suggest to be confident and imagine it is somebody like your parents.
I think to keep your head up and be proud that you are a 4th grader!
Not everybody can do it!
We're actually really lucky that we get to do the tour guides!Trust me I don't think once your out of 4th grade we'll never be able to try this experience again(only if you become a teacher when you grow up).
But once you finish you actua lly finish the touring it is good to shout
YES I DID IT!!!!!!I DID WHOOOOOHOOOOO
in the play ground!

Being a tour guide is awsome because showing around people is great. Telling people what we do is really important for them and for us too. Being a tour guide of the school is much much better then being a bus guide. ISSH ROCKS!!!!

Being a tour guide is fun - but only if you make it fun. Be yourself and be positive. Don't be too serious or too formal. You might get scared and start thinking negative things, but don't worry. The parents will surely be nice 'Cause after all, you're the tour guide. They're just listening. Smile! Energy! Remember: 4Yellow is the best!!!

I think we did a good job. One advice is you should show that you are happy to show them around, smile and not talk too much so the adults can talk and ask questions too.

Being in Tour Guide is awsome !!

but you have to careful because
- you should not make things up
- you should keep track of time
- you should not leave your group
- you should not leave your partner alone
- you should not talk when it's your patner turn

But we are so lucky to be able to do Tour Guide in 4th Grade !! ISSH ROCKS !
I wish I could do this next year o well were still lucky.

Tips for Being a confident and fun Tour Guide
1.Inhale and Exhale
2.ALWAYS SMILE :-D
3.When you meet your Parents, intruduce yourself in a loud, confident voice
4.DONT be SHY!!!
5.If you say somthing wrong like there are 5,000 students in junior school say sorry i'm not sure and ask your parter(s). If they dont know tell your parents you can ask Ms Cerminara.
6.If there are too many people in a room skip it and come back to it.
7. On the way to a classroom ask questons and tell them about the Events in ISSH.
7.If you already visited a class like 3-Blue then You dont have to go to the other class 3-Purple.
8.Let your partners have a turn to speak.
9.Try not to step on your parents shoe! (OUCH!!!)
10. Most Parents have children who need to be kindergarten so make sure you go to kindergarten playground, open area and more
11.Dont spend 15 minutes in 1 class.
12.Think before you say somthing.
13.I know i am saying this again but it is really important and It is always SMILE
14.Last of all, at the end of the trip remember to thank them and hope if they would come to ISSH!!!!!!!!

Dear future tour guides,
I have one waning after the first tour remember to keep your papers because if you do the tour again (that you properly will) you will only properly get a day before the tour to get ready. You will have the same partner so it is easier then having a new partner. Also if the parents you are superpose to tour can't come for any reason don't weary because you will get to do the tour an other day.REMEMBER IT IS LOTS OF FUN! BUT DON'T GET MAD IF YOU DON'T HAVE A SECOND TRY!

Tour guides was awesome!

I'm sorry for Erika and Jurika.I know that Jurika and Erika did a hard work but you were lucky that you got to get a manager or principal or something !!
I wish I got to do manager or something!

Anyways, this is what you SHOULDN'T do.
1.look down
2.speak to the floor
3.tiny voice
4.try not to say um... yeah...
5.do NOT say psss hey in the other persons ear
6.spend to long in i classroom
7.come in while somebodies speaking
8.shy
9.don't speak over the parents

This is the things that you SHOULD do...
1. smile :-)
2.tour them well
3.welcome the parents
4.tell them about the school not rebuilding the school or anything else
5.be loud(not so loud) so the parents can hear you
6. say nice things about the school
7.twarding the end say 'thank you and I hope you enjoyed our tour

Hope everybody liked their guests!!(parents)

I agree with Ishita's tips, especially #5. It's funny!!! Why would there be 5,000 kids in Junior School?
Also, I agree with Alex M. because when you drop off the parents in the MP room, you just get this feeling that you want to say "YESSSSSSSSSS!!!"...but you can't. I think that is a another tip, because my group said it too early when we weren't alone...ok, we weren't still giving the tour, but we were in the corridoors......ok......Anyways, you can say "YESSSSSSSSSSSS!!!" with that arm pulling thingy AS SOON AS YOU GET TO THE PLAYGROUND!!! :-)
Another tip, is to talk more when you go from room to room, because there was an awkward silence.
Bye 4 now!

its so fun tour guiding!
Anyways, here are some do's and dont's when your tour guiding.

2.lead them but don't walk too fast or too slow.
3.when your going to a room thats a little far from the room your in, (e.g. K3 class to art room)try to talk about events that we have (e.g. One World Day, Family Festival, Bingo, etc.)
4.If there are many people in a room, skip it then come back to it.
5.give your partners a chance to speak
6.thank the visitors and remember to always SMILE and don't be shy! Speak loud and clear!

DONT'S
1. Don't walk too fast or run.
2. Don't say what you don't like about this school
3. Don't push visitors when you can't get through
4. Don't be shy
5. Don't talk about obvious things.
6. Don't talk about things that aren't important (e.g. what I did on the weekends)
7. Don't tell them to hurry up
8. Don't be rude
9. Don't whisper to your partner or give them a signal that tells them to talk
10. Don't talk too much, let your partner(s) have a chance to talk

Thank you ISSH for giving us a chance to be tour guiders. It's LOTS OF FUN!!!
