After your experience with the 8th graders today, what advice do you have for others regarding Student Led Conferences on Thursday?

To end the conference, she suggested to say," Thank you for coming to my conference!"

She also said to speak up because she could barely hear me.

I think you should be proud of what you did and I think you could use lots of enthusiasm and voice to explain all the things we've done!

The 8th grader (Pimm) said to me that I was a mix of confidence and nervous.
Also I discovered that she also is a
CHATTERBOX!just like moi!(moi=me)

Our 8th graders suggested we keep track of the time and don't just talk about what's there - also talk about how you felt as you made it and etc.

To end the conference ,she said.

You should speak nice and clearly ,
You should look up when you finish your question
about the question ,read the question and say your opinion and then read what you wrote .

When your doing the pictures give your parents time and don't just turn both side and finish, let them have time and don't be embarased just leave it .

The 8th grader, Mana, said that I should say for the ending, "Thank you for listening and do you have any questions?". She also said instead of me reading out all the reflections, the parents can read it with me.
Mana said I did a good job. Hurray!

I was REALLY nervous about when 8th graders cames they told me:
-To speak LOUDER
-To talk more about the topic
-Try not to be shy
-try explaining things like WHY you chose them
But I had SO MUCH fun

The 8th grader that I shared my s.l.c folder said that I should end my conference by telling my parents what I liked about 4th grade.

I think a good way to end a conference is to say "Do you have any questions or concerns?" That's what Ishita's sister told me to say. I think it's a good idea.I liked my eighth graders. One of them was Ishita's sister, and the other one was so quiet!!! I didn't even hear her speak a word!!!

With 8th graders ,student led confrences was alright but... with parents I think it will be more.... hard for me. My favorite page is the picture page and I think that I did a good job. But while I was reading it to the 8th graders I found some mistakes.ooooohhhh!!!!!!

I 'm going to miss everybody!! I enjoyed wih you guys and I maybe share my student led confrences with my mommy.
bye!

I think a good way of starting student led conference by saying," This is my folder that has all the best pieces from september to march."
A good way of ending is maybe," do you have any questions? Did you like it?" And maybe you will get a kiss from your parents! Yeah!

The 8th grader gave me an advice to choose your best piece that you did so it looks like your working hard at school and your a good writer.
Also, another advice was to choose your favorite piece and show them last to surprise them!

The 8th grader that I was with said that
I should face the folder to the parents, even if it's hard to read upside-down!

I think the ending should be thank you for coming.
And also thank you for listening.
